Alicia grew up in Chicago, IL. After graduating from The University of Chicago in Psychology and Theatre & Performance Studies, Alicia continued work in Chicago as a production manager, lighting designer, puppet designer and marketing manager. She has worked with such companies as The House Theatre of Chicago, The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, DePaul University, Navy Pier, Court Theatre and Steppenwolf Theatre Company. She is currently living in London after obtaining her Masters degree in Arts Policy and Administration (Distinction) and after a year as Marketing and Production Manager with Theatre Renegade. In addition to her work with The Dreamery she is the Marketing Manager with London’s largest outdoor street theatre festival, Greenwich+Docklands International Festival.
Alicia founded The Dreamery with a desire to offer inspirational, creative and fantastical experiences. She is inspired by the idea of Play and the psychological and creative benefits it has for young and old alike. Magic, surrealism, whimsy and fear are all elements in her work, with an ultimate desire to create visceral and imaginary worlds and dreamscapes.
